We have reached the last two weeks of school! If you have any questions as this year closes out, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your child remains the priority!

Thursday, May 16th from 5:00-7:00 is the school carnival. Not only is the carnival an amazing time, all proceeds go straight back into our school. Come play games and eat really good food!

With the carnival on Thursday, it will make Wednesday, May 15th the last day of tutoring.

We’re winding down with Perfect Attendance parties from our Charlie/Delta program, watching the program and some musical excerpts, and singing folk song/games. Kindergarten will be singing this Friday at 1pm in the gym!

I can’t believe this is already our second to last week of school! There will not be any homework sent home this week or next due to the fact that we are doing more review activities instead of new concepts. I do encourage the students to still practice their math facts and read for 20 minutes each night though.

This Thursday night is our APA Carnival. It is going to be LOTS of fun! I encourage you and your family to come!

I will be reading with your children this week to find out their new reading levels for the end of the year.

Good Morning, All!!

I hope you guys had a relaxing weekend! I just wanted to hop on here and put a few announcements out and outline our week in the classroom.

For starters, our science fair is this Friday in the small gym at 2 PM. All are welcome! Come see your kiddo and what they have been researching and working on. πŸ™‚

“This is a Test,” will be performed tomorrow in the big gym at 7 PM. It is $3 to see the show. It’s super funny and we have all worked so hard on it!! Come see our show with your kiddo and support our drama club! πŸ™‚

Lastly, I’m sure some of your kids came home on Friday and dropped the news. I will not be returning to APA next school year. I am moving to Portland, Oregon mid-July to broaden my horizons and gain more experience.Though I am sad to leave, I am still so so so thankful for the opportunities APA given me. Thank you all so much for trusting me to educate your children and build relationships with them. I will never forget them, and I honestly could not have been more blessed with a first group of students. Thank you all so much…I cannot put into words how much I appreciate you.

Phew. Now that the announcements are done, let me start in our weekly overview. We are all done with science and math in the classroom, so we will mostly be focusing on the science fair. I also do not want to bombard them with work as we will be finishing up NWEA testing, and the students will be taking the OLSAT this week.

Here is the overview.

Monday, 5/13

-Work on Science Fair projects

Tuesday, 5/14

-Work on Science Fair projects

Wednesday, 5/15

-Math quiz over data and stats graphs

Thursday, 5/16

-Present science fair projects to Miss Willis

-Gain feedback

Friday, 5/17

-OLSAT testing

-Set up Science Fair projects in the gym

-Science Fair at 2 PM

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me at

Thanks all, and have a great week!
