At the end of this lesson, cadets will:

  • Recognize the aspects of physical fitness.
  • Explain the benefits of physical fitness.
  • Discuss the difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercise.

Use your notes from class to complete the Chapter 3, Lesson 1 quiz. The quiz will be handed out on Tuesday.

At the end of this lesson, you will:

  • Understand the unhealthy roles played in relationships.
  • Recognize what roles each of you have previously played.
  • Explain the importance of a healthy relationship vs. the harm of an unhealthy relationship.

Assignment: Create a scenario (situation) that involves any two of the negative relationship traits discussed in class. Explain how that relationship might play out based on those traits. Example — Promise Breaker dates a People Pleaser.

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to :

  • Develop ideas to improve an infant’s health
  • Explain ways to improve a infant’s verbal level
  • Create a “game plan” for improving either motor, social or verbal development of an infant.

Assignment: Complete reading the handout entitled “Stimulation during the First Year of Life”. Upon completion, write a plan that successfully improves infant development in ONE of the following areas: motor development, verbal development, or social development. Your paper should be one paragraph to one page.
