Hello all,

Sorry for the delay in reporting grades. Most everything should be updated on Skyward now, with the exception of the last two History video assignments. If you have a zero on any assignment, I will absolutely accept late work, but we need to complete the work at some point! Please review Skyward and let me know if I made any mistakes.

History: I want us to wrap up WW2 next week and do a brief overview of the Cold War before school ends.

Government: The gradebook for this class is SHAMEFUL! For those few who have been doing the work, I commend you. For the rest of you, everything you are missing is a zero in the gradebook now. The workload that I have given you is MINUSCULE, and you should have no problem completing it. DO THAT!

Holocaust: Keep doing your thang.

New assignments will be posted by Monday, so please continue to check the blog. WE ARE SO CLOSE! Bear down for a few more weeks!

Hello gang, I hope all is well with you and your families. Today’s written assignment is as follows:

7th Grade: Write a 4-6 sentence paragraph about how Ibn Battuta and Muslim traders, helped to spread their religion throughout Africa and Eurasia.

8th Grade: Write a 4-6 sentence paragraph describing the effects of the Dred Scott decision and how it was one of the causes for the Civil War.

Please submit them to me via email by 5pm Friday 5/8/2020. As always, please stay safe, stay healthy, and stay positive.

Happy Thursday!

Today’s assignment: Face-Off Friday – Face-mask Fashion

Step 1: Explore the fashion design trends throughout history using Google Arts and Culture. Then, using what you’ve learned, design your own face-mask fashion piece! For example, if I were inspired by Men’s fashion during the Rococo period, I would want my mask to include fancy floral patterns, maybe some puffy parts, and definitely some buttons.

You could create a design sketch, it could be build out of paper and cardboard, you could repurpose old clothing (with your parent/guardian’s permission, of course), or you can use any other method to demonstrate your face-mask fashion design!

Step 2: Vote on Face-Off Friday: Interactive Drawings below (voting closes at 11:59PM on Monday 5/11):
