Last Week of School!

by Courtney Adkins on May 17, 2020

This is our LAST WEEK! Just like if we were in school, we DO NOT have spelling words this week! I really encourage the students to get outside and have their own field day this year. Get outside and have some FUN! 🙂

Hey everyone,

It is our last and final week of school. If you have finished your trading card, timeline and Presented me with your speech you are finished!!! Congratulations! I absolutely loved seeing so many creative ideas. I especially loved the videos. Great job, everyone! Thank you for doing these projects even in our current circumstance.

We have one more thing left. Every year, I do a fun awards program and we have a small end of the year party. I would still like to do the awards this year. It will be on zoom tomorrow (Monday) at 11:00am! I will be announcing awards to each of the members in the classroom. I would love if you all could attend!

I will also be making my rounds this week and dropping off surprises at your houses. So be on the lookout for those!

Your future awaits you…  best always.  Capt. Hayden

Here is hoping for a bright future for all of you.

Captain Fraley’s Videos

This is the last week that I will be posting Captain Fraley’s videos on our Facebook page. There is one for parents and one for cadets! Check them out!

End of Year

Since this is the end of the year there are many questions about cadets’ belongings left at school. I will let everyone know what we are doing about that as soon as I know. I will keep everyone updated throughout the summer into next year. As usual, if you want to ask me questions throughout the summer go ahead and do it! I will be helping and answering all that I can!(-:

One-on-One Zoom Meetings

I will continue Zoom Meeting One-on-One throughout this week. If you want to schedule one with me even to just say goodbye for the rest of the school year, please do! I can have it with Mrs. Bundy and I if you would like, as well.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please send me an email at or a message on the ClassDojo or Remind Apps.

Here is our last e-learning of the year! I know these last 2 months or so have not been an ideal way of doing school and I would have much rather been teaching your children in person, but I want to thank all of you so much for your help in getting your children their work and helping them with it at times! We couldn’t have finished the year without you! I am very grateful for each of you.
This Friday is technically our last day of school. If you have not seen Cpt. Fraley’s message from last Tuesday, there will be a type of parade at the school on Friday. The teachers will be at school standing outside of the building in the front lawn. Students/parents are encouraged to drive by the school so that we can wave goodbye and give the kids a proper send off to the summer. Students won’t be able to get out of the car, but at least we can see each other in person one last time before summer. The parade will start at 2:45 to about 5:15. I hope you see many of you driving past on Friday!

You made it to the last week of school! The last week is usually full of celebrations, music concerts, art shows, parties, games, and FIELD DAY! I have been VERY SAD thinking about missing out on all these fun things together, SO I decided that we WILL have FIELD DAY during our Zoom meetings this week IF THE WEATHER cooperates. You will receive your eLearning assignments through REMIND 101 due to copyright issues.

On Tuesday 5/19, we will play SOCCER DRIBBLE: 2nd graders log in at 11 am and 1st graders login at 2pm. Your child will need a soccer type ball and a hula hoop if possible. You can substitute a rope or string set in a loop on the ground. You will need a large area in the yard, and an adult, older sibling, or a table or chair to be the “camera person” while your child runs and plays. We will be having Zoom relay races so we will need a safe person or place for the technology.

On Thursday 5/20, we will play Frisbee Fling: 2nd graders log in at 11 am and 1st graders login at 2pm. Your child will need a frisbee or a paper or plastic plate to use as a frisbee, and the hula hoop object from Tuesday’s game. We will need a camera person or a safe place to sit the camera while you child runs the frisbee relay.

If we have a day that the weather is bad, we will need 10 plastic cups for an indoor stacking relay.

Friday from 2:45 to 5:15 we will be standing out front of the school for a parade for all of you! Please drive by and get a smile and a wave from all your APA teachers.
